Saint François "The friendly resort"

You'll surely find your favourite leisure activity between the wide spread pannel offered.
From the marina you can put to sea for excursions to the surrounding isles or practice all kinds of water sports (sailing, wave running, surf, scuba diving....).

Skilled or beginning golfers will enjoy the links of the international 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent-Jones.

If you like higher positions, at the airdrome small planes are awaiting you for circuit flights or other airborn activities.

You will also take part in the local life, on the colourful markets, in the shops offering local handicrafts, in the restaurants with creole cuisine...a casino, sightseeing excursions, local celebrations (fairs, carnival, contests), offer other possible leisure activities.

And of course, you'll enjoy lazing at the white sandy beaches and swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of the lagoon.

Grande Terre:
the flatter one of the two isles, with wide sugar cane plantations in the center, a wild coastline in the North-East with high cliffs and small coves with white sandy beaches.

In the South-Western part a hilly region with overgrowing tropical vegetation: the Grands Fonds, then southwards huge beaches fringed by coconut trees and protected by coral reefs, an invitation to laze.

Basse Terre:
a mountainous vulcanic island with in its center the biggest National Reserve of the Caribbean. The vulcano Soufrière 1467m (4813ft) is the highest peak. You can hike in the rain forest on many tracks, just like the Arawak Indians some centuries ago.

The Caribbean Sea at the Westcoast, in the North the "grand cul de sac marin" a huge bay between the two islands, offering mangrove swamps at the coasts. The beaches at the Southcoast have black vulcanic sand and offer a splendid view to the Saintes isles.

You can also make a day cruise to the surrounding islands: Petite Terre, Desirade, Marie-Galante, Les Saintes.... each of them is different with its own charm.
